- Over the years, many wedding parties have been pleased to stay at Cusheon Lake Resort. ‘Variety being the
spice of life’, each wedding couple has chosen their own unique way to celebrate their very special day.
- In March, one British couple spontaneously decided to be married on the dock, at Cusheon Lake
Resort, before flying back home to England. With good friends to stand up with them they arranged the services of
a marriage commissioner, and happily exchanged their vows. Then the newlyweds and their friends went to one
of the local pubs to celebrate with a beautiful view of the harbour and a fresh seafood meal.
- One May Day weekend, a Vancouver couple and their friends booked some of our cabins for the weekend.
On the Friday evening, they all had a quiet gathering at the resort. As some guests helped with
preparations for the ceremony and reception on the Saturday, other guests enjoyed boating, visiting and
relaxing. They exchanged their vows in the beautiful gardens of their friends’ home. On Sunday morning,
everyone came to have brunch with the newlyweds and to share in their gift openings.
- Also in May, a Whistler couple reserved the entire resort for their friends and families. Many
of the guests stayed for three or four nights. The families from both sides came to know each other very well,
as everyone pitched in to help with food preparations, tent set-up and decoration, and other necessities. The
service itself was held at the Heritage Church at Fulford and the reception was held on the grounds of
Cusheon Lake Resort.
